The Melia properties in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, offer a diverse range of resort choices, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Each property has distinct features, and among the five, you're sure to find your perfect fit.

The Melia Punta Cana Beach and Melia Caribe Beach Resort are sister properties with a similar design. While they may look alike, Punta Cana Beach is adults-only, whereas Caribe is family-friendly. Caribe offers beautiful suites ideal for families and a highly engaging kids' club within its water park. For either of these properties, I recommend booking a Level room for the additional amenities. At Punta Cana Beach, Level rooms are conveniently located closer to the beach, pool, and other facilities.

Zel Punta Cana is the newest property, having opened just last year. This all-inclusive resort's design was inspired by the Mediterranean and developed in collaboration with Rafael Nadal. It is the smallest of the five properties, with only 109 rooms. Each room features a spacious separate sitting area and a private outdoor courtyard, whether it’s a green space or a swim-up room, offering a decadent sense of privacy. All rooms also have an outdoor jacuzzi on their patio, a lovely feature for honeymooners or anyone on a romantic holiday. This property also boasts a gorgeous spa called Aua, inspired by water and the outdoors, guaranteeing relaxation and peace while enjoying its services.

Melia Grand Cana is an excellent option for families seeking ample entertainment. The property includes an extensive water park and numerous activities, in addition to a wide variety of dining options. My favorite aspect of this property is its Destination Inclusive experience, which immerses you in the island's local culture and is part of the Family Concierge program.

Last but not least is Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort. After touring each property, this was by far my favorite. The property is gorgeous and offers a wide array of dining options to suit every palate. If you’re traveling without children, The Reserve is the ideal choice, as it’s the adults-only section of the resort and offers areas separate from younger guests. It is also the only property of the five where the entire resort is close to the beach, and every room offers a beautiful view. They also provide plenty of family activities, an exclusive kids' club, and babysitting services. There truly is something for everyone at this property.

For golf enthusiasts, staying at any of these five properties grants you access to Cocotal Golf Club, which features three nine-hole courses designed by Pepe Gancedo. As a Melia Rewards member, some properties will offer you a 50% discount on playing the course.
